Ochsenkopf Champion Axe

The OCHSENKOPF OX 440 H-2708 Champion axe, specially developed for competition use, has been the official German supplier to the Stihl Timbersports Series since 2002. This hand-forged axe is crafted from special steel and features a blade ground to a competition cutting edge. The high-grade hickory handle and leather blade protector further enhance its performance.

Designed with a special grinding for training, this axe is made of a unique steel blend and incorporates a triple safety wedge. The handle, crafted from high-quality hickory, provides a secure and comfortable grip, while the leather blade protector ensures safe storage and transportation.

It's important to note that this axe should only be used on soft wood, such as poplar, and not on frozen wood. The blade tip width measures 190mm (7.5"), and the handle length is 800mm, with a total weight of 3300g (7.28 lbs). A spare handle, the OX E-453 H-0800, is also available for replacement if needed.
